24 Hours (And Almost As Many Cocktails) In Providence, & Much More

I’ve been invited on some pretty cool press trips, but I have to admit, an overnight jaunt via Amtrak to Providence, RI was one of my favorites, and not just because it was my first booze-related excursion post-Covid. You think of cocktail meccas, and Providence would be pretty far down the list. Hell, it’s probably not on most lists at all. But it’s got a lot of young people thanks to Brown and Rhode Island School Of Design, it’s got a great culinary school in Johnson & Wales, it’s pretty affordable (at least compared to NYC), and its downtown area is walkable. All the ingredients for a great cocktail scene are there, and let me tell you, it delivered. 24 of the most fun and booze-soaked hours I’ve had in recent memory. You can read all about it, as well as some other of my recent liquid adventures, in the latest What’s Tony Drinking?, courtesy of the good folks at Alcohol Professor as always.
