A Great New London Dry Gin Made By... A Missouri Country Rock Band From The '70s?!

Last year I was visiting my cousin, whose husband is a country songwriter and performer, in Nashville. During our travels we ran into his friend Supe, who happens to be a member of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, a country-rock band best known for their 1975 hit single “Jackie Blue.” I’m not a country rock fan in general, but I was intrigued when Supe told me that the band had just launched their own gin. Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to do a moonshine or something? What made them gin fans to begin with? And who on earth gave this project the green light? I needed to find out more. And of course I needed to drink the gin. Which, as it turns out, is terrific. To get all the details, hop on over to Alcohol Professor and Tony’s (Mostly) Whisky Corner!

(And while you’re at it, check out the Daredevils in all their glory, performing their 1975 Top Five hit “Jackie Blue” and one of my personal faves, “If You Wanna Get To Heaven.”)
