I’m thrilled to report that I’m now a contributor to InsideHook, a nifty publication that gives you the lowdown on everything from sports to movies to gear to, of course, booze. And that’s where I come in. My first InsideHook article is “How To Drink Bourbon” (link is -> HERE <-), in which I, along with barman/author/consultant Frank Caiafa and Michter’s master distiller Dan McKee, run the gamut from nosing to tasting to food pairing and more. There’s really no wrong way to drink bourbon, of course, as long as you enjoy it — hell, Frank and I have decided to find out what it’s like drinking it through a straw the next time we meet. And at least one expert has already quibbled with me about the pros and cons of sticking your nose in a glass of cask strength bourbon and taking a giant whiff (I say it singes the nose hairs, she says she loves it).
