Goin' Back To Indiana With MGP

I’m working on an article about Old Elk bourbon and its master distiller, Greg Metze, formerly of MGP (also known as LDI), the colossal Indiana-based distillery that makes a whole lot of whiskey for a whole lot of well-known brands. It got me to thinking about this piece on MGP I wrote for Serious Eats a few years ago. Funny to think that the fact they contract distilled for “craft brands” was such a big scandal at the time. Nowadays, “Made In Indiana” on a bottle of bourbon or rye is almost a trademark of quality. Anyway, here’s the article.
