Too Much Bottled-in-Bond? Surely You Jest!

No sooner did I write an article about bottled-in-bond whiskeys for Robb Report than I got asked to do the same thing for the fine folks over at Alcohol Professor. And I was happy to do so, because, gosh darn it, I really love B-in-B spirits — not just because of the history but because they taste so damn good. Age a well-distilled whiskey for a minimum of four years and bottle it at 100 proof and odds are you’re going to get a pretty tasty final product, one that in optimal conditions is both sippable and mixable. Of course, in the few years since bottled-in-bond has been rediscovered by whiskeyphiles, the prices have gone up to the point where you may not want to throw such pricey hooch into a cocktail. But hey, that’s your call. In the meantime, you can check out the article by hitting the ol’ clickeroonie right here, and make up your mind which whiskeys are worth the investment.
