When two titans of the rum industry come together to work on a joint project, it’s safe to assume that the result will be pretty good. And indeed, the first collaboration between Global Rum Ambassador Ian Burrell and Foursquare distiller/blender/owner Richard Seale is more than pretty good, as you’ll read in my review over at Alcohol Professor. But Equiano is more than just a good rum, it’s history in a bottle — the first ever blend of African and Caribbean rum. And it’s a history lesson, besides, for Equiano is named after the 18th century abolitionist Olaudah Equiano, whose story I didn’t know (you can get caught up at Equiano’s website).

OK, enough spoilers, go read my article! Here’s the link again.
