I don’t often get asked to write “Top 9” lists, but unfortunately that’s what this Top Ten list turned into. Turns out that for Robb Report to publish my crazed rantings about various delicious rums, you have to be able to actually, you know, buy them. And alas, even after weeks of stalling and postponing, one delicious and unlucky bottling could not be found at retail. So it got the boot. But I’ll be publishing my review at this very website as soon as it’s widely, or even narrowly, available for purchase. In the meantime, have a look at the other nine, all of which are pretty delicious and none of which feature added sugar after distillation, or any other additives for that matter. I like to keep things on the straight and narrow when it comes to my booze. And it gladdens me greatly that the article has gotten a positive reception from the High Muckety-Mucks of Good Rum — a few of whom, most notably Kate Perry of La Maison & Velier and Jan Warren of PM Spirits, were a huge help in getting me samples and steering me toward the good stuff in general.
