Why Is This Rum Different From All Other Rums? It's Kosher For Passover

The above headline was the one I wanted to use for my latest piece in Alcohol Professor, all about Kosher for Passover rum. It was not used, either because it didn’t tick the required SEO boxes or because the reference was too arcane for the goyim. You see, at the Seder table every Passover, there are four questions asked by one of the younger people there, and the first one is, “Why is this night different from all other nights?” So if you were raised Jewish, as I was, you’d get the reference. But most people wouldn’t. Then again, why would non-Jews be reading an article about Kosher-for-Passover rum? This is why I’m not an editor.

Anyway, I think this is one of the more interesting articles I’ve written lately, so I hope you check it out. On the how-Jewish-are-you scale, I think I rank slightly above George Santos, so I certainly learned a lot about kosher rules and regulations, especially as they apply to distilling. What makes a spirit kosher but not kosher for Passover? Read the article! I also got to make the acquaintance of Ari Klafter, a super-nice guy who also happens to be a Member of the Tribe and whose heritage in reflected in the spirits he distills. You’ll read all about him as well.

Hopefully you’ll find the whole mishegoss as interesting to read as I found it to write. The link is right -> HERE<-. And Happy Pesach! And Happy Easter, too, depending on what you celebrate.
