Celeb-Endorsed Brands And Why You Should Like This One Anyway

It’s been a while since I posted anything here, for which I apologize to whoever’s reading this (I assume SOMEONE is, even though it’s not a Substack and you don’t have to subscribe or pay or anything). It doesn’t mean I haven’t been writing for the usual suspects, it just means I haven’t been posting handy-dandy links here. So let’s start getting caught up, shall we?

I first heard about Mine Hill Distilleries from a publicist friend who thought I’d be enticed by the fact that everyone’s favorite TV detective, Christopher Meloni, recorded a couple of relatively humorous endorsements for it (you can find them on YouTube). I told him that celebrity endorsements are usually enough of a reason for me to NOT write about a brand. But I found their backstory compelling, and I thought the bourbon was pretty good, especially considering it’s distilled, aged and bottled in Connecticut. Who knew that was a thing?!

Anyway, I wrote a little thing about them for the fine folks at Forbes. I hope it’s as fun to read as it was to write. And I really enjoyed interviewing one of the distillery’s owners, who’s also the author of several books — one of which I actually own and quite enjoy. Who is he? You’ll just have to read the article and find out. -> Here’s the link <- .
