The Michter's Team Has A New Whiskey, I Have A New Byline

I’m delighted to report that I’m now writing for Food & Wine. I’ll be doing newsy stuff, not reviews, and I’ll be focusing on American whiskeys and rums. Such as, for starters, this new Bomberger’s bourbon brought to you by the fine folks at Michter’s. My Food & Wine article does not indicate what I personally think of it, but on this site, anything goes. So I can tell you that Bomberger’s PFG (Precision Fine Grain) is frickin’ delicious. It kicks off with an almost candied sweetness; at midpalate the spice and tannins kick in; and the finish is an intense melange of fruit and oak, with a long, warm finish. In a word, yum.
